How this started
I grew up in Naperville watching my parents and their friends run small businesses on evenings and weekends: the same data entered twice, follow-ups pushed to 10pm, callbacks squeezed in after dinner because the day had no gap. Most of it was not hard. It was repetitive, and repetitive work is what quietly takes the hours you meant to spend actually living.
I have ADHD, so I am picky about where my attention goes. When something repeats and does not need a person, it bothers me in a very literal way. I am in college now, and I still build my schedule around the same idea: protect time for what matters, automate what does not, and leave room for the rest. That is the lens I bring to this work.
The opportunity I see is clearest in the trades. The job that pays is on a roof or under a sink, and the phone still rings. Quotes sit. Follow-ups slip. It is usually not a discipline problem. It is a capacity problem, and capacity is what software should buy back. That is why I am building Clockwork: handle the repeatable desk work, put what needs you in one place, and let you make the calls that actually require a human.

How fast can this be running?
Missed-call response is usually live within a week of our first call. Deeper work, like connecting your scheduler to your invoicing, runs two to four weeks depending on what you already use.
What does Clockwork actually do?
It answers every missed call and web enquiry with a text in seconds, asks the questions you would ask, and keeps following up on quotes until the customer replies or the job closes. You see the whole queue and can take over any conversation.
Do I have to change the tools I already use?
No. The point is to connect what you have. If your scheduler, inbox and invoicing already work for you, they stay, and I make them talk to each other.
What if I want to stop?
You keep the accounts and the automations. There is no contract holding you in and nothing gets switched off if you stop working with me.
